Replied to this in private by accident, but I actually really wanted to post this. Always nice when people notice references!
And Snow Crash and Metaverse in particular left quite an impression on me back in the day.

Some pen doodles from work. The only thing that keeps me from going mental these days >_> Some more #undeadswag and that jerk I’m unable to not draw every now and again.

Bear with me. There will be arts one day.

edit: added another one. Why not. Ehh.

Still too busy to post anything decent. But here’s some doodle from work.

Best wingman ever strikes again. (i guess this would be the first time)…Inspired by talks with blackiochronicles
Necrocards are, apparently, a thing.
Really sorry for the art hiatus at the moment. Real life’s been pretty demanding lately. I’ve been really exhausted from moving, and nothing relieves stress like drawing Dan failing at life.

Still accepting canon? -Lin has a mild paranoia about her attachments and devices (ones yet to be installed to anything) becoming sentient, so she keeps them under a tight control and makes sure they're locked up so they are unable to crawl away or emit signals.

I always accept people’s headcanon, thank you! Always nice to get some fresh ideas. Though on this occasion, the canon is pretty much the opposite - Lin is pretty laid back about her lab set up. She generally prefers machines to humans, mostly because the AI in my universe really isn’t that great and implants are easily controlled and mostly just do their jobs. (if they don’t it’s usually a human error/tampering) So, the whole machine revolution is pretty much her wet dream.

But it does pose a question of the true level of technology and what the AI can and cannot do. Something to think about later, I guess :D

Yet another work in progress.
Work on DS3’s been a bit slow in the past couple of weeks, due to real life and things (and also shipping all the comics). I’m also moving house in a week, which isn’t helping, but hopefully I’ll get back on track after that.

What do you think about the universe? What do you know about the universe?

Your request is being processed. Please stand by.

After many requests…it’s finally up for sale! 8D

First 20 orders will get a free Dreamspace postcard. After that I’ll try to think of a way of sticking it as an addon without losing track of my book count.

As for other postcards and print designs, you can get them in my redbubble store

Thanks for looking!

so i have been a massive fan of your blog for a while. but i havent been checking up on it as regularly as i have been before, so im kinda out of loop on your drugs and wires comic. other than prints are you selling full drugs and wires comics online perhaps? i would love to buy one <3

Hey Anon, thanks for stopping by :D I’m trying to get it sorted at the moment. I’ve ordered more copies of my book for sale (since I sold most of my stock at MCM), but the printers messed it up a bit. I should be getting a new proper batch early this week though, I’ll post up a link to my store as soon as I get them, so stay tuned :D

As for the contents, it’s got all the strips I’ve done in the past year, but slightly tweaked, reformatted and occasionally redrawn to work better in the print format.

I’ve already lost three followers last week just by posting work in progress. My answer to that is, of course, more work in progress.
PATIENCE.

What you've created is amazing! I wish you the best and I hope your things/comics get noticed!

Aw thank you, I really appreciate it! C: I’d say there’s been quite a bit of noticing so far. Now I just need to get the new material out to justify it. Soon though! :DDD

Sooo one of the DS3 frames I’ve been working on was requiring a bunch of artifacts from Dan’s brain/surroundings and what not. I thought I might as well stick in that photo from his workspace, since there isn’t that much I can reference. Did I need to spend a good hour redrawing it for a 100x100 pixel final result? nope. But, of course, I went ahead and did it anyway.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.
Also I just told Black Io I wouldn’t post any wips until the thing is done. Silly me.

Some tiny A6 doodles from work, just testing some pens. I’m thinking of marrying my Kuretake brushpens. They’re my favourite things as of yesterday :’I

Some random doodles I did today while trying out my new shiny pen, and a few lifedrawings from the past couple of weeks.

Thanks to everyone who turned up at London MCM this weekend! I had an awesome time and did a lot better than I expected, thanks to my fantastic neighbours - harmfulraes and my friend Sarah who was dealing with my emotional outbursts and helping me shove books in people’s faces…It also does help that my expectations weren’t high to begin with. Friday was a bit awkward, as I was terribly stressed out and had no idea what I’m doing (sorry if you witnessed that). From Saturday onwards my course of action was mostly getting people to read the book and leaving them to it. (of course, it did mean that quite a few individuals would hog my table for 10-15 minutes, read the entire book start to finish, tell me how much they love it and then leave without buying)

I brought 80 copies of Drugs and Wires and sold around 60 of them. Guess I’ll have to re-order before I put them up for online sale. This means fixing that annoying typo on the character bio page (sorry, MCM peoples!)

As it was my first time, I didn’t push commissions and just focused on selling things, but, surprisingly, people did talk me into it and I had lots of fun. I’ve got 6 commission doodles done ( i think), mostly portraits, but the only one I took a picture of was Gary King from World’s End. There was another Sherlock someone bought, too. I will definitely aim at doing more drawing next time.

And yes, there will be a next time.
